5 mi @ MP. 49% Humidity, 77*, SSE 7 mph wind, somewhat cloudy, this all made for a pleasant run except the humidity made me sweating like a hairy old goat trapped in a hot box on the deseret. In the mean time I've got about 10 days till the the Deseret News 10k and 28 days till the Porters 1/2 Marathon, all of which I hope will motivate me to be ready for my 14th running of the St George Marathon in 85 days. The last time I ran SGM was in 2011 when I was celebrating my 60th birthday year challenge. I ran 17 races that year including 12 marathons in 12 months. It averaged out at 1 marathon every 30 days. The other races were two - 5Ks and two - 1/2 marathons.

you're looking strong and fit for your return to st george this year.

i read through your 2011 posts a couple of weeks ago - man what a great effort! not many people can do that at any age, let alone 60 - inspirational to me as i work myself back into the consistent running game.

Thanks for the compliment Bro JD, I really didn稚 think anyone went back in time to read any of this stuff, but I知 appricative hearing that you did. I知 not quite ready for SGM, I知 still suffering some minor problems from Boston, but I知 working on them. Hey what doing think about signing up and running the Porters 1/2 Mary ? You can do it at your own pace and they have great t-shirts!

ah yeah - i went back and read my blog from 2012 for motivation this year - ever since i致e found it interesting to read others blogs - especially during big years. fast running blog has taught me a lot!

no races for me this year - just focused on building the base to a nice frothy consistency and getting my mojo back. if things look good at the turn of the year i値l consider a Fall marathon
