GOALS.....My goal is to be an Age Division Winner and a Boston Marathon Qualifer & Participant as long as I can run this short, fat, tired old man body down the road!!!  This gettin' old crap isn't for the weak of heart, mind, body or spirit!

Slick - whats the plan for UVM?- it sounds like you are going to peak big time and be able to hammer that course.

Timp - I'm planning on trying to run the best race I can for my training and right now I think that I am going to try to run a 3:20 something! Thats where I think I am! I will employee all the tricks of the trade to get this old man body off the starting line and over the finish line in the best fashion I possibly can.I'm gunna try to start slow and build up to marathon pace through the first three to five miles. Then I will deal with the the hill at mile 8 with a few extra seconds to get over it and then it's show time. I will then open up and increase my pace and take advantage of the down hill course that I've trained so hard to do and make my race to the finish.

God willing and the creeks don't rise, thats pretty much my plan, except the gu taking, waterstops and all the attitude adjustments along the way!!! I think I'm gunna have a great run! Hey, if anybody wants to run with me, I welcome the company...just remember, if you or I stumble along the way thats probably where we will part company till the end.
