Nice day to run: 32 degrees, clear blue sky, sunshine, about 1/2 inch of snow on the ground that was melting fast. 4 mile modified tempo run.....very successful! tyi......

As my training schedule progresses towards Surf City, The Lost Dutchman and Boston, I find that I will need to adjust and take Friday off and run a 16 miler saturday. I would prefer to run the long on Sunday because my next two marathons are on sundays.  Of course this is just probably a way for me to rationalize taking a day off and not running on Christmas Day, now just how weak is that!!!

Hey, Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you and yours !!!!!

Slick, we are meeting at Lehi JRP on Saturday morning if you'd like to join us! I think we'll be doing around 13 - so you'd have company for most of the run!! Then you don't have to rationalize about Christmas day, you can say I made you do it :)

I just got this email from the "NYRR" and it's exactly what I want to do in 2012!!!!!!

This January, forget typical New Year resolutions. Don't make a promise you can't keep. Make a pact with yourself to run for life. On 01/02/12, apply for the ING New York City Marathon 2012.

Like all the best things in life, running this race is never the same twice. It's an accomplishment no one can take away from you. No matter how far you've run before, on November 4, 2012, everyone will start from the same place.

You will all put one foot in front of the other for 26.2 miles. Your lives will change when you cross the Central Park finish line—whether it's your first time or your 20th. This is what dreams are made of. The ING New York City Marathon is where the world comes to run.

The application opens 01/02/12 at 12:00 noon EST and closes 04/23/12 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

It all starts 01/02/12; check our website regularly for updates and follow the path to greatness.

This e-mail was sent by New York Road Runners, whose premier event is the ING New York City Marathon. To ensure future delivery of NYRR e-mails, please make sure this e-mail address is added to your safe sender list. To unsubscribe from future mailings, click here. Message ID: 22344750.
