6.214 (10K) miles in the Deseret News 10K. The 50th Des News Marathon was also contested today. My result was 51:33 @ 8.19 pace and a successful defense of my 3rd place podium medal. I bettered my time by 1.07 minutes over the 2018 race. It was a really fun race, the morning starting temperature was 78** at 45% Humidity with about a 10 mph wind intermittently under a mostly cloud covered morning. With the above in mind this race served to bolster my thoughts that my training thus far is right on point to launch into the "Full Monte" on Sept. 21, 2019. 58 days and 20 hrs.......
